To Catch a Roll Over...

So Henry has reached a big milestone - rolling over from back to front. Problem was - Mommy missed it the first three times he did it. (Daddy is away on business and was very sad when he found out). Lay him on his activity mat, look away for two seconds and turn to find him flipped over. Of course when I pulled out the video camera and tried to catch him doing it again he didn't do it. Until now! Here is the proof and thus begins a whole new stage of mobility (scary!).

Henry received a special gift recently from some of Brendan's family back East. Brendan's cousin, Cameron, has a very talented and crafty wife, Danielle (and they have the most adorable little boy, Cass, who we can't wait for Henry to meet).

We received this beautiful quilt in the mail and I suspected Danielle made it, which she did. It is so cute and even has his name on it. And believe it or not, this was her first one! Henry is lucky to have something so sweet that he can cherish for a long time.

When Alex attacked Henry

So Henry got to visit his long-distance girlfriend Alex over the weekend...and they've now become closer than ever!

Alex spent some time exploring Henry's face, and he tried to eat her hand. Love at first sight.

Mua 'Ohana Wa ho'omaha for Keiki Henry

This post is long over due but better late than never.

In June, Henry took his first family vacation to Maui. Jen's family was headed over to see her cousin Tiffany get married and spend some family time on the beach. Lots of fun and firsts for Henry and the whole family, including Greg and Amy getting engaged!

On the flight over. He did great on both flights, sleeping almost the entire time (unlike the two screaming kids in front of us in first class). The old folks sitting around us loved him!

OC Fair

This past weekend we took a trip to the OC Fair since we weren't able to get our fill of fried fair food and carnies at the State Fair up north this year.

First time in his big boy stroller.

He must have been distracted by one of the many interesting fair goers. I couldn't get him to look at the camera for anything.

Not too long before going to the fair becomes a very different experience swapping the beer garden for rides and games.

3 Months Old!

Our little guy is 3 months old today. It has gone by so quickly but has been so much fun. Some of his latest tricks: bringing his hands to his mouth to suck on them, grabbing at toys held in front of him, holding his head up high while on his tummy, pushing himself in circles around his activity mat. He has really started to show a lot of personality in the recent weeks and we are having so much fun bringing it out of him (as seen in the first giggling video).
